On this page, I would be reflecting on my experiences in Month and Class 3 of the Entertainment Business Masters of Science Program at Full Sail University.

As I went through with this class, I realized that, as boring as this class is, it is a very important class. Also, very easy to pass, provided there are no distractions like the Hall of Fame (this was a very great event by the way, I am glad I loved and lived every part of it). Not only that, but the fact that this month was the beginning of the realization of my dreams coming true!
In the beginning of the class, we had an icebreaker and we were asked to list our expectations for this class.
Me in my overzealous way, came in very prepared, and stated that I would like to learn the requirements needed to start a project, ensure that I stick to the goals of my project, learn managerial skills and a lot more expectations.
So far, my expectations have been met. This class is an introduction to my career path as an artist manager. I would love to do well and would love for those around me to do well. I learned the need to work together as a team, I also learned the importance of being intone with emotions, because being sensitive to others emotions, gets you further than the money itself would.
In this class, we were asked to come up with an idea that we could develop as a project. So, in my case for example, my project was to create an EP for an independent artist. My project was titled “The Evolution of the MotivationJunkiee.”
(Previously, I mentioned Hall of Fame. Hall of Fame is one of my biggest motivations. I wish to be inducted as a member in the year 2030 and above – called it here, in case anyone needs reference.)
And then, there was the Hall of Fame week also in this month. That was amazing week in it’s own, because if you are talking about school spirit, Full Sail University has school spirit. I loved the Hall of Fame week, because it further motivated me to achieve my career goals, and become a success in the Music Industry. Though it may seem like I was playing a lot, which I was, I was educated on industry standards, I got good knowledge on my background, and took away key points on things to do, so I get the dream job. But despite that, this month was an amazing one, I look forward to the remainder of the year.
As a past of this class, and why this class prepared me for my career path, I made a project plan for a task I would like to perform sometime this year. This plan is designed to pave way for an artist who would like to get way into the music industry, and I serve as his manager. I also realized that the things done intros class, would be things I would be doing since I would like to start off my career as a Promotions Manager. As a promotions manager, I would be making plans that would assist artists get their artwork known all around the world, which is a great responsibility.
All of the lessons learned in this class are very applicable in your future. Boring? YES! Inspiring? Most definitely!
Attached is a preview of the project I was working on.
Evolution of the MotivationJunkiee.
The plan is not the same, so please, do not use this to your advantage. This plan doesn’t really make sense if you’re not me.
