Month 4 – Brand Development and Story Telling (April 2020)

You survived COVID-19? You’d definitely relate to these next months as we keep reading. Thank you for your persistence, it means a lot.

Due to the pandemic going on in the world (COVID-19), all major places like schools, shops, etc. were closed down, however that did not stop the learning progress at Full Sail University, neither did it stop my over-zealous self from coming all prepared with my goals for the month. – talk about a goal getter, huh?

Just like the previous month, was a very important one – heck, every month in Full Sail University is an important one. It is the job of the student to connect the dots into how it would shape their career path.

This month, I learned how to develop my brand and how to tell my story to potential employees and those who I would be meeting in the future to discuss the multiple ideas brewing in my head; and I also began learning strategies that would help develop my company and what the company stands for. This class is important because it helps develop you as an individual and you as an Entrepreneur. As a student, I learned about Brand Identity, aka, who am I, and what am I passionate about?

I see this class as a motivational one because it added to the mentality, I had about getting things done for yourself, because you have to know who you are for you to even begin taking major steps in this world. Like an article I read in this class said, “It takes GUTS to be you.”

First of all, for you to become you, the major question to ask yourself would be “What do you want to be known for?”, you also need to consider what your goals are and also, what is important to you and why do these things matter. These questions are essential in order to begin starting your own brand.

It takes GUTS to be you!

This class emphasizes the essence of being different and standing out. Just as the author of the book “The Brand Gap”, Marty Neumier, said “when they zig, you zag”. Now connecting the dots from month 2 – Executive Leadership, leaders lead, and do not follow. Being your own person makes you a leader, a pioneer of your own things, starting your own trends, be it fashion, music, business, whatever it is, you are a leader.

This month, I picked up new hobbies, because of this class, and also the whole world shut down. I created SMART goals that geared me towards the professional lifestyle, I created a new website, began creating blog posts, began researching for my professional life, began organizing a company, also exercised a good amount of times, created graphics, began dog-sitting, and more things I am still discovering

When they zig, you ZAG!
